Founders
Who We Are
Mrs Liang
Mrs Liang has over 10 years of teaching experience in international school as IB trained teacher and has been an IB diploma examiner in Mathematics at Higher Level since 2017. She was awarded full scholarship from the Hong Kong government and now holds a Masters in Philosophy in Mathematics (research based) from Chinese University of Hongkong with a GPA of 4.2 out of 5.
Upon completing her Master’s degree, she worked for one and half years as research assistant in the Chinese University of Hong Kong and later on held positions in various International Schools as a Mathematics teacher for pre-university students. In addition to that, she has also taught O Level, IGCSE, IB and WACE programmes. Her students have achieved exceptional academic results and are currently studying in world-renowned universities, such as University College London, University of Melbourne, Hong Kong University, Nanyang Technological University, and so on.
Ms Lee
As a child, Ms Lee acquired strong numeracy skills and developed an appreciation for Mathematics and Sciences, all thanks to her teachers. Her love for the subjects motivated her to ace both Mathematics as well as her three Pure Science subjects. After earning her Bachelor of Accountancy, second major in Finance, she went on to pursue a Masters degree in Science (Quantitative Finance) with the National University of Singapore.
Ms Lee aspires to become an educator who will be long remembered, just like her teachers. She believes that inspiration is the best gift a teacher can ever give to her students as inspired learners are motivated and capable of accomplishing the greatest things in life. Led by her passion for education, she joined the education sector and has worked in a variety of educational settings throughout her career.
Her initial work was with a renowned enrichment centre where she planned and designed the Secondary Mathematics Curriculum which had Science, Art and Technology incorporated to make it holistic. She also had 10 years of experience tutoring Elementary and Additional Mathematics to students from different streams: IP, IB, Express, Normal Academic and Normal Technical. Her students had attained results good enough to land them in Ivy League Universities, such as Harvard University, Princeton University and Columbia University. Because of her extensive experience, she was offered a position as a Mathematics teacher with an international school.
Ms Lee makes her lessons fun and engaging by letting students participate in activities involving investigation, inquiry and collaboration. She enjoys hearing students’ unique perspectives to a problem and believes that knowledge gained through self reflection can be better retained. Interactions during activities also help students gain confidence in themselves while promoting critical thinking and communication skills. When Ms Lee is not teaching in class, she likes to think about creative ways to introduce a new topic, help students draw connections to real life, and nurture their interest for Mathematics.
